Measure 8 inches from each end of the edge 3 feet long from the remaining wood panel and make a mark. Place a hinge on the marks and include them in the panel with wood screws. Place the wooden panel on the top of the wood trim. The hinge on the down side, to create a box structure. Open the top panel and fix the hinges of the wood moldings. Apply a bead of wood glue along one edge of the top wood panel.
