Queen loft bed with desk – Smaller rooms sometimes require surprising solutions. If you combine a tall double-sized bed with a desk, take advantage of almost 20 square feet of space otherwise available. This creates a defined workspace for your child. And at the same time freeing the rest of the space for the game and entertaining. Cut all your wood with the specified dimensions using your electric saw. None of the indicated wood dimensions are the standard sizes.

Drill two holes in the ends of the two 72-inch beams using a drill of the same diameter as the double-thread screws. Place the side to side holes, 2 3/4 inches from the ends of the beam. Each hole must be 3/8 inch from the nearest side of the beam.

Use the same drill bit as in step two to drill two holes at one end of each 60-inch pole. Place the holes in the center, a 12-inch hole from the end and the other 12 3/4 inches from the end. Sand all surfaces of your wood until they are smooth and without chips. Adjust the 72-inch beams and the 36-inch beams together in a rectangular frame, the ends of the beams 36 inches to butt the inner faces of the 72-inch beams. Screw together with two wood screws in each corner. The beams of this frame should be on their sides of 2 inches, with the sides 4 inches outward.
