Sep 16th

Wood Coffee Table With Metal Legs – A leg of a broken metal table can ruin a good piece of furniture, but you do not have to. With a little bit of epoxy putty, silver paint and the right know-how, you can quickly and easily repair a broken table leg. Then you can continue to enjoy your furniture-good as new. Remove the broken metal table leg from the table. Next, use a ½ inch metal file to smooth the rough edges on the broken leg. Knead the epoxy putty on one side in your hands until it starts to feel warm to the touch. Be sure to thoroughly mix the putty until it is a consistent color.

Adjust the broken pieces of the leg of the table next to each other. Next, use the epoxy putty to join the two pieces together, thus fixing the leg and making it a piece again. Smooth the putty, and let it harder for about three hours before sanding the table leg. Use the sandpaper to sand the epoxy repair putty to a smooth finish. Use the silver enamel paint and brush to paint over the repaired area, mixing in the epoxy patch with the original leg pieces. Wait two hours for the paint to dry. Then replace the leg to the table.
